Sandra brings years of experience in arts leadership, entrepreneurship, and post- secondary administration. Her high-level strategic thinking, combined with a deep passion for education, children, and community, uniquely position her to make a meaningful impact.
With extensive experience working with boards – both as an employee and as a volunteer – Sandra has developed a keen understanding of board dynamics. This dual perspective will be invaluable to performing well as a school board trustee.
Her strong understanding of budgets, financials, and business operations is another key asset. Skills critical to assessing the needs of the Calgary Board of Education (CBE) in order to advocate effectively for the CBE and its students.

Education
Sandra has a BFA in Theatre from the University of Calgary and completed the Rosza Arts Management Program from Haskayne School of Business Executive Education at the University of Calgary.
Volunteer Work
Sandra has a diverse history of volunteering, including school councils, the Calgary Celiac Association, and The Calgary Fencing Club. She also volunteered at Wordfest and The Performance Studio, where she later transitioned to a contractor or employee role.
Much of her volunteer work has involved serving on boards, providing a well-rounded perspective on organizational dynamics and community engagement. This has shaped her approach to leadership and collaboration, further enhancing her ability to make a meaningful impact.
